Public spaces thrive when they respond to local climates and cultures rather than imposing a one-size-fits-all approach. In Ho Chi Minh City, ASPECT and LAVA collaborated on the Central Park competition, which embraces the city's heat and humidity with green façades and shaded canopies, creating a comfortable, year-round environment. The design shifts away from gated, time-restricted spaces toward an open, dynamic public realm—integrating theaters, weekend markets, music concerts, bicycle tracks, and skate ramps.

Similarly, ASPECT's revitalization of Kalgoorlie City Centre fosters social connection through play, outdoor dining, and entertainment, supporting daily rituals while attracting locals, tourists, and businesses to the historic heart of the city.
