The 801 Ann Street project aims to create a vertical neighbourhood centred on community and well-being in the centre of Brisbane. The heart of the development will be a voluminous city room on Morgan Street, where ASPECT Studios is crafting a publicly accessible space with vibrant facades, sub-tropical gardens, and a “heroic” quandong tree. This space will be anchored by the Little B.I.G Foundation, which combats loneliness and strengthens social bonds through community event curation and services.
By weaving the natural environment, transportation, community spaces, open space and commercial enterprises together, the project will create an equitable and sustainable outcome for the urban fabric. ASPECT Studios worked closely with EG Group and Rothelowman to create a series of vertical ecosystems that enhance co-habitation – in a push to draw together people and nature in the centre of the city.
