Both Rowan and Matthew have been significant contributors to the growth and development of ASPECT Studios and will continue to provide input to the overall strategic direction of the practice.
Speaking of the new additions ASPECT Studios Chair and Founder, Chris Razzell said:
Rowan is Studio Director of the Dubai Studio and has been instrumental in initiating and building on ASPECTS commitment to the Middle East. Over the last decade and a half, Rowan has collaborated with diverse design teams from all over the world. As the lead of the ASPECT Studios Dubai team, he is currently engaged on a wide variety of social improvement, master planning and public realm projects. With the ongoing support of valued client and collaborator relationships, he aims to foster an empathetic, design led culture in the team, to challenge the regional design norms and to drive the practice forward globally.
Matthew is Studio Director of the Melbourne Studio and his design leadership has seen ASPECT’s Melbourne Studio deliver complex public realm and landscape design projects across Australia. He is passionate about the sustainable development of cities, with a focus on implementing green infrastructure and living architecture strategies into his design work. A strong advocate for Country Centred Design, Matthew is committed to exploring meaningful processes for engagement with and representation of First Nations communities in design projects.
