Date: 11月 08, 2024
Category: Awards
Powerhouse Castle Hill received the prestigious Sir Zelman Cohen Award for Public Architecture at the Australian Institute of Architects National Architecture Awards last night, celebrating the advancement of architecture across Australia.
This 130-metre-long facility provides a versatile space for storage, exhibitions, research, events, conservation, photography, and archives. ASPECT’s landscape design envelops the building in eucalyptus and native greenery which is reflected on the buildings shimmering facade—a feature the jury praised for creating a sense of “both mystery and welcome.”
Congratulations to lahznimmo architects and all our project collaborators; Taylor Construction, Northrop Consulting Engineers, Electrolight and Powerhouse Museum.
