Jordan has extensive experience across Asia including in Vietnam, Singapore, India, Maldives, Indonesia, Malaysia and China, but has also been involved on projects in France, USA and Montenegro. He is an established, hands-on designer and strives to promote the importance and understanding of the indelible connection between people and the environment.
As an academic honors graduate from one of the oldest and most respected landscape architecture programs in the United States, Jordan relies on his experience and educational foundation of design, fine arts, horticulture, ecology and landscape management as his knowledge base. His early training as a fine artist has placed great importance on drawing by hand and has always been a critical component of his ideation and design process. In recent years he has been exploring and developing the evolution and interpretation of artistic processes within the digital realm and how landscape designers are becoming increasingly relevant in a world longing for innovation in the face of transformation.
Jordan’s personal design credo places a strong emphasis on the concepts and ideas that become the essence of a project. He finds design inspiration in the intricacies of local culture and its history revealed through art, architecture, literature, cinema or music; these sources are the threads of his work which he uses to stitch together the fabric of the built environment.
