We had our dancing shoes on in celebration of several big wins including Quay Quarter Lanes, on which we collaborated with SJB, Silvester Fuller, Studio Bright, Carter Williamson Architects, Lippmann Partnership and Jonathan Jones for AMP. The project was honoured with the Lord Mayor’s Prize for Architecture, while it also won the Urban Design Award.
Quay Quarter was a delightful collaboration, which started for us in 2014. Evidence that shaping cities takes time, care and constant investment to make quality places which people want to return to.
We were also thrilled to see Studio Bright bright take the Aaron Bolot Award for Multi-Residential Housing - we loved being in the Bright team on that special project.
Another big win on the night was for the team behind Newcastle East End Stage 1 - SJB, Durbach Block Jaggers and Tonkin Zulaikha Greer Architects. We undertook the master plan and stage 1 of the public domain for this benchmark project. It took home the Premier’s Prize for Architecture and an award for Residential Architecture, Multiple Housing.
Most importantly, we had a very fun night at an 'in person' ceremony with all of these great people. We look forward to seeing these projects compete for AIA National Awards in November.
