ASPECT Studios is entering an exciting new era of growth and development, following the appointment of Adam Kiekebosch and Valter Vieira as Co-Chief Executive Officers. Both will succeed current CEO Ivan Ross, starting on 1 July 2024, coinciding with the beginning of the new Australian financial year.
The appointment of two designers and business leaders as co-CEOs, both of whom have made important contributions to ASPECT’s unique culture and hold the trust and respect of our global teams, will ensure that the practice continues to meet its purpose: To enhance the lives of people and natural systems in an enduring way.
With experience in both ASPECT’s established markets and its developing presence in others, Adam and Valter are well-positioned to leverage their different and complementary skills. With co-CEOs in both the Northern and Southern Hemispheres, ASPECT is well-positioned to capitalize on opportunities for our mature, industry-leading studios and growing teams. This structure supports our valued clients while ensuring we continue delivering purposeful design through our One Studio model.
Chris Razzell, Chair of ASPECT Studios, said, “Adam and Valter will ensure the current and future needs of the business are met as it continues to grow as a global practice. As designers, they bring innovative solutions and unique insights to the creation of business strategy.
“This dual role marks the evolution of the CEO position. With co-CEOs, we have considered the future success of the practice, which has become larger and more diverse.”
Adam Kiekebosch’s history with ASPECT includes his former roles as Infrastructure Director, Commercial Director, and his most recent role as Regional Director. A seasoned practitioner, he brings a refined understanding of practice to the role of co-CEO, having worked across Australia and the Middle East and collaborated with design studios from Asia, the UK and the USA.
Valter Vieira joined ASPECT as Studio Director and is transitioning from his most recent role as Regional Director to co-CEO. He draws on a career underpinned by an understanding of the importance of creating inclusive places that respect local cultures, acquired by living and working in Europe, Asia and Middle East. He has worked across landscape architecture, master planning and urban design, and has managed projects in Europe, China, India, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Africa.
ASPECT Studios thanks current CEO Ivan Ross for his seven highly successful years of practice leadership, which strengthened our One Studio culture and further shaped ASPECT’s guiding purpose. His tenure was also defined by opening new studios in Perth, Dubai, Ho Chi Minh City and London. We are extremely fortunate that Ivan has chosen to remain with the business in an advisory CFO role, to provide continuity and support the ongoing development of the practice's financial strategy.
