Our principal role was to work closely with the City of Sydney to create a sensitive transformation of Farrer Place – the building’s forecourt which has a distinctive mix of heritage interpretation, public amenity, and horticulture.
Our design also involved a collaboration with Make and Bar to create a luxurious indoor oasis with lush greenery and dramatic green walls that creates a sense of calm and serenity. In the building's public atrium natural light filters through the tall atrium windows onto the urban canopy of flourishing trees and planters, creating a biophilic experience that draws guests closer to nature.
It has been a significant honour to continue to guide the transformation of Circular Quay’s public spaces. Last year was a huge milestone as we saw the completion of the newest urban precinct, Quay Quarter Lanes, and now the latest development, Capella Sydney, will bring a fresh new chapter to the city North district.
