Kalgoorlie City Centre celebrated at the WA PIA Awards

The new Kalgoorlie City Centre embodies our approach to creating spaces that enhance life in our cities and towns. The ASPECT Studios-led design team has won three awards at the 2024 Planning Institute of Australia WA Awards for Planning Excellence – the Planning Minister’s Award presented by John Carey MLA, Great Place Award and Regional Award – which recognises the way it supports daily life in Kalgoorlie.
The new space emerges as a network of connected public spaces, fostering daily activities like social gatherings, play, outdoor dining, and entertainment. Inspired by the town’s distinct location and rich history, the design introduces bespoke elements that bridge its storied past with its evolving future.
