Our Perth Studio started this week by learning the importance of Acknowledgement of Country where they had the opportunity to learn about native Bush food and medicine methods. They also went out on Country and experienced a number of truth-telling sessions that engaged with many Traditional Owners across Noongar Country. As the team grounded themselves on Country, they learnt about the importance of deep listening and sharing stories.
Our Adelaide Studio visited the South Australia Gallery to see the exhibition 'The Nature of Culture' which displayed an inspiring collection of traditional and contemporary Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander art.
In Sydney our team joined a webinar held by The Regenerative Songlines Australia, a nationwide initiative that provides an opportunity for people across the country to connect with Indigenous knowledge holders and learn from Indigenous knowledge systems and practices in Australia.
Throughout the week our studios reflected on the importance of reconciliation and shared their heartfelt Acknowledgements that were respectful and meaningful to continue their journey.
Thank you, to Reconciliation WA, for hosting events that helped raise awareness for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and an opportunity to learn about the importance of reconciliation.
