Our Director Kirsten Bauer was in Chicago to accept this prestigious award, as well as present on Prahran Square and “Living Architecture and Urban Ecosystems” as part of the conference program.
Prahran Square is an inventive reclamation of public space, turning a ground-plane carpark into a public space in a dense neighbourhood that was In desperate need of it. Through the design process, the team created a new typology that fuses the forms of the urban park, square, amphitheatre, playground, lawn, streets, carpark, and retail. This mixture of uses reflects the energy and complexity of Prahran, creating a cultural and recreational destination for residents, shoppers, and visitors.
We are honoured to have received such recognition from one of the industry’s leading organizations, and we want to offer our congratulations to all other award winners from the conference.
