The Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria: Integrated Wayfinding System has been honoured with a Gold Award in the Communication Branding and Identity category at the Good Design Australia Awards. These awards celebrate projects that push the boundaries of design, challenge conventions, and transform how we live, work, and interact.
With a First Peoples-led approach, the wayfinding system is an experience on its own. The System supports a positive user experience, guiding visitors through the space, telling the story of the gardens' past and present, encouraging visitors to pause, engage, and connect with its layered history and local language, creating an immersive experience for new and returning visitors.
It is great to see a project that demonstrates the value of traditional owner engagement and collaboration be recognised for design excellence.
Congratulations to all our collaborators: Studio Binocular, Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria, Greenaway Architects and Deakin University.
