First Peoples' Partnership and Design Lead
Anne-Marie is the First Peoples' Partnership and Design Lead in Melbourne, committed to tirelessly practising and advocating for culturally responsive and meaningful design processes through genuine collaborative engagement with First Peoples' communities.
She encourages an understanding and respect of an Indigenous way of knowing, and has successfully implemented this approach through many of her projects working with Traditional Owners from across Victoria.
Anne-Marie played a key role in instigating the development of the AILA National Reconciliation Plan and is currently co-chair of AILA’s ‘Connection to Country’ National Committee. Anne-Marie is a panel member on the Victorian Design Review Panel (VDRP) and also sits on the City of Melbourne’s Design Review Panel where she is a technical expert for Indigenous engagement, providing advice on significant developments and City of Melbourne projects.
Through Anne-Marie’s leadership of the development and implementation of the practices' ‘Connection to Country’ National Strategy, ASPECT has been able to successfully enable voices and values of Indigenous communities to drive a wide range of master planning, landscape and urban design projects.
