Conceived of as a “beacon” for Guangzhou, light played a central role in the design process, with its qualities - colour, direction, dispersal, and linear movement, all informing the resulting design. The form of the building itself is refracted across the landscape using geometric paving and changes in elevation.
The project also included The Four Seasons Hotel, with a private entrance located south of the tower. Here, ASPECT included a softly cascading linear water feature crafted from split face black granite, set in a lush tropical garden.
