More generally, the lab and its landscape were updated to exemplify the latest in water-sensitive design. Additions include permeable pavements, raingardens, green roofs, green walls and green facades. ASPECT Studios and its design partners ensured that these features can be monitored, and the data used for the laboratory’s research. In that sense, this project directly feeds into the development of codes and standards that will be used to ensure the wider uptake of water sensitive design and living architecture in Australian cities.
