Playford Alive Town Park
The City of Playford is an area of rich cultural diversity and will be one of the most dynamic growth areas in Adelaide over the next 30 years. ASPECT Studios was commissioned by Renewal SA to futureproof the liveability of the area, through the creation of a park in a new residential suburb north of Elizabeth.
The Playford Alive Town Park is a place where families and friends can come together and celebrate their unique community - a space within which people from all backgrounds and age groups can gather and connect.

The major design components of the park include nature inspired play spaces, a multi-use BMX and skate park, a water play area suitable for all ages, tiered lawns for sports and community events, all set amongst smaller lawns and contemplative gardens for more quiet family friendly activity. These spaces are woven together through a comprehensive path network which links back to the cornerstone of the site, the Stretton Centre - a multipurpose community use building.
The development of an integrated and intensive new park with extensive shade and opportunities for use by multiple groups at any one time, will ensure the space is actively used and a legible expression of the community spirit in the area.
ASPECT Studios was deeply involved in the project, providing concept design, design development, documentation and contract services.
